In The Blink of an Eye

Wow, just like that, Christmas has come and gone. All the frenetic activity and the worrying of the past few weeks flew by. We find it's always worth the effort......

Here are the dogs modeling the raincoats that Santa brought them. We have no idea why they look so disappointed. We know they wanted more rawhide chews but maybe they just don't understand the practicality of these gifts. (Kinda like when we got socks and underwear for our presents when we really wanted dolls or trucks.)

We made a stop at the Chrysler Museum to see the Norman Rockwell exhibit. It was something that both generations could relate to and was an enjoyable outing. It's amazing how talented he was.

As former "Yankees", we are still surprised by warm weather December. It hit 70+ today; not only were the camellias putting on a beautiful show but the honeybees were out looking for a quick snack.

We both made one resolution for the upcoming year, which is to be in better shape than we are now. Of course, Cara also made her annual list of things she wants to complete craftwise in the upcoming year. Nothing prepared her for the moth damage to the handspun yarn she pulled out to finish working on over the next few weeks. If you look closely, you'll notice that instead of one long strand, there are multiple breaks hanging from the middle of the yarn where the little b*st*rds snacked their way through months of hard work.

Jojo made the transition to WV like a champ. Apparently he's driving everyone batty with his endless energy in true terrier fashion. We miss him already.

There will be more blogs as the new year unfolds. In the meantime, continue to enjoy the holiday season and enjoy the blessings that each new day brings. See you next year!
