Punxatawney Phil Doesn't Know Squat

As much as we like the change of seasons, the past 2 days have been a real challenge to the wardrobe.

Thursday morning, upon leaving for work at 5:45, it was 16 degrees. 16 freezing, bitter, nasty degrees. (Keep laughing, Rinda.) As I drove through the security gate at work, my window froze in the open position after showing my ID badge. (Same me, same car, same security guards for years, but I still have to roll my window down, rain or shine, to show my badge. Just threw that in so you know the USA is still working to keep you safe.)

Today, it's 61 degrees. God must have thought it would be funny to just flip the numbers to see how we liked it.

Here's Pete sunbathing.

Fred and Sam maintain constant vigilence, keeping the lawn safe from moles and voles. Here, they are demonstrating their ability
to dig a moat.

Even Gizmo got out to stretch her legs and hop around the back porch. We let Sam play with her for a few minutes since they're about the same size. Once he started thinking she could be the cousin to the moles he's been hunting, that game came to an end.

Bruce is making progress on the boat. He's down in the basement alot and seems pleased with his progress. The frozen window from the other morning have added extra emphasis to my request that it be out of the garage by October. This year's already starting to fly by.

If the first daffodil of the season is making an appearance.........................

Can yardwork be far behind?
